We take great care in the production of our rice products. Please consider the following.
- Our products easily have a shelf life of 6 months to a year if stored in a dry, cool area, free of direct sunlight. Double-bagged and stored in the refrigerator or freezer, products will last significantly longer.
- To reiterate, rice and rice flour can be freezer stored. This is extremely beneficial, however care must be taken to protect the rice from ice formation and moisture.
- Cold storage is strongly recommended for our whole grain, brown rice products. The intact bran layer contains trace amounts of natural oil and oxidizes over time. Cold storage retards this deterioration.
- Our products are delicate in flavor and character and should not be stored in areas with strong odors. Rice and rice flour can be permeated by strong odors from pungent material stored in close proximity.
